Review: Revlon Colorburst

Hello lovelies ! ! !

Been too long since the last post again. Been a tad busy & tired from work. I'm going to blame it on the cold weather. It had turned me into a lazy sloth.

Today's post I'm going to review Revlon's Colorburst lip glosses & lipsticks. I've been on a frenzy with them ever since I discovered their Soft Nude lipstick. I've never liked them before because I always thought their packaging was quite tacky. & unappealing. But their new lines are definitely becoming more eye catching. Revlon's Colorburst

Packaging > I think the packaging for the lip gloss & lipsticks are quite cute. I like the quilted design on the caps & tubes itself. The brush on the lip glosses have two flat sides with a rounded tip, allowing for precise application. I found it easy to apply the lip gloss to every corner of my lips. I like how on the tub of the lipstick itself, the word Revlon are engraved. I thought it was a nice touch.

Price > I paid about $8 CAD for each lip gloss & lipstick. I would say, for such a good quality product that it was well worth it.

Lipsticks

The lipsticks are quite honestly my favourite lipsticks. I've used high end & lower end brands before and these are my absolute favourites.. They're creamy & moisturizing, did not dry out my lips at all. Especially since it is winter, my lips are constantly chapped because of the horrid chilly air. They are very pigmented & buildable.. You can go for a subtle look or layer it for a bolder look.

The only downside is that it's not very long lasting. I'm still quite fresh to the lipstick world so I'm unsure how long one would expect a good lipstick to last. However, it's a small problem for me as I'm far too in love with the colours & positives of this lipstick to care much for this negative point.

Lip Gloss

The quality of the glosses are also very high. They're non-sticky & moisturizing & highly glossy. They're very pigmented, especially with the coloured ones like Papaya & Strawberry, you'll notice they are very vibrant. Which I absolutely love.

I really can't think of anything bad to say about the lip gloss!

My favourite of the bunch is definitely Strawberry. It's a cute pinky red that's perfect for summer.

Overall > I would definitely recommend this product to you guys. Especially the new colours that came out, they're' all lovely & there are quite a few colours that are perfect for spring/summer looks. The Colorburst collection is definitely comparable to the higher end brands out there, in fact, dare I say, maybe even better than some out there. The lipsticks are pigmented, moisturizing & buildable while the lip glosses are glossy without feeling sticky. I definitely suggest every lady try it since they are inexpensive & very accessible.

My HUGE Beauty Goods Haul~

This post is long over due! Seriously. I've been busy with my two part-time jobs though. I only have a day & a half off from the jobs. But, I always make time for shopping~~ So today I bring you a post of beauty goods that I've hauled since December 2010 to now. I thought: Why not just talk about all of it in one huge post? Enjoy :)

I'm not going to discuss Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I feel like it's been talked about enough that it does not need to be repeated anymore ~~

NYX Glitter Cream Palette in GCP12 - One Night In Luxy > I got this for New Years Eve figuring it was just natural to have some glitter on that night. I didn't end up using it but I did use it on my sister. The colours are fun to wear & all but it was difficult to work with. It was basically just flecks of glitter in a clear cream base. It stayed on pretty well though and did create a really glamourous & fun eye makeup.

NYX Eyeshadow in Star~ A cute silver colour with blue flecks. Also a purchase I made for New Years Eve. I did use this one and it was quite a nice colour with a silky texture but not very pigmented therefore it required lots of layering to actually build a decent colour.

Rimmel's Colour Rush Trio Eye Shadow in Dark Angel & Dreamy > I got these two palettes on discount of $3 (CAD) each. I was actually drawn in by the lovely purple in the 1st palette but I figured I don't have much pastel colours in my collection so I decided to pick up the second one also. Since buying them I haven't used them. I did test out the colours on the back of my palm & found them not so pigmented. But it'll take further experimentation for me to truly make a proper verdict.

Kate Deep Eyes BR-1> Brown is a vital staple in my make-up bag. I wear it daily to work.. It's only during the weekends that I get a chance to play with colours (TT___TT) This palette contains great variety of browns so that you can create a casual day look or dramatic evening look. You can see I've already put the palette to good use by the sponge applicators~

Dolly Wink Eyeshadow in No. 3 Blue Orange (Country Retro) > Literally the pride of my purchases. I instantly fell in love with the orange & teal blue palette. I felt that the orange and teal will work great for Spring/Summer, since orange is back again in blush, eyeshadow & lippie form. Which I'm quite glad, I actually really like the whole orange blush ordeal! Haven't tried it out yet but I'm definitely going to try it out and do a review on here. Here some more pictures of the inside of the packaging which shows you how to achieve Tsubasa's look that's on the cover:

The orange is so vibrant (* A *) I'm already happy & excited for summer just staring at it. Plus the snow & cold has totally been bumming me out!!! I'm planning to pick up the Colourful Pop one also. i think the sales girl left an impression on me while she talked about it.

Maybelline's Lasting Drama in Charcoal > The package isn't even open yet so... no need to explain. Hehe. I bought it as a safety net because my M.A.C gel liner is almost finished.

Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner in BR 601> Have been hearing good things about this liner so decided to pick it up since I was wanting a brown liner. Haven't got the chance to use it properly but from playing around with it I do feel it's hard to control. Then again liquid liners were always difficult to apply...

Maybelline's FIT me! Liquid Foundation & Powder in 115 Ivory > Okay I don't plan to talk too much about this because I want to write a proper review on it as it deserves. If you follow me on twitter you've probably heard me rave about it for days. It's that great :)

Etude House LUCIDarling Over the Rainbluser in #03 Apricot > It was my first time purchasing Etude House products. I thought the packaging was so cute for a highlighter, which is probably the main reason why I picked it up but the product itself was great in the end. It's a very shimmery highlighter, which when used with a light hand will yield quite stunning results.

Victoria's Secret Midnight Glamour Luminous Highlighting Powder in Starlit~ I picked this up when I had that $10 gift card that they were giving out just before the holiday season started. Once again the packaging was the culprit.

NYX Gloss in Clear > Very simply, it's amazing because it's a non-sticky gloss that smells like candy. Yummm~~

Revlon's Colour Burst Lipstick in Soft Nude > The best nude lipstick I've ever tried. I don't know why I've never used Revlon lipsticks before this! I've used M.A.C. lipsticks before & their lipsticks are drying on my lips. However this one is not drying at all!

Victoria's Secret's Perfect Lipstick (Scrumptious) & Sparkling Lipstick (Spotlight) > Bought these along with the VS Starlit palette. Good colours, smooth application & not drying. Quite like them (^____^)

NYX Round Lipsticks in Orange Soda, Eros & Strawberry Milk > I started to become obsessed with NYX lipsticks ever since my friend introduced me to them. She use to be a huge M.A.C. lipstick fan but she claims that these are better than M.A.C. lipsticks. I must agree too. Like I mentioned previously, M.A.C. lipsticks made my lips look dry and crackly whereas these lipsticks did not.

My Beauty Diary Limited Edition Floral Masks: Perfect for spring time of course! The phalaenopsis is a whitening mask while the sunflower one is a moisturizing one. Apparently these masks are different from the previous ones as they are able to hold more essence in the layers of the mask. I'm going to be trying this out later (^____^)

Lucido-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly Swing Keep > Before I used the Liese's Designing Jelly but I found that the product was too heavy and weighed my hair down so much that it started to look straightened by the end of the day. But Lucido-L's hair jelly was much lighter and held my waves much better. At the end of the day it still looked as it did in the AM.

Liese's Juicy Shower > The bottle is so sweet looking... & the name cute! This is a moisturizing hair mist that smells like raspberries that you use in the mornings to help tame unruly frizzy hair. It's suppose to leave the hair soft & more manageable.

I don't think I've posted a picture of myself since... Forever. Mind the orange towel by the way. The bathroom is where I can get the best lighting. Anyways... Here's me & my 3 week old haircut. I got this just around the beginning of January. I'm loving shorter hair right now because it's so much easier to manage. However I still get the occasional desire to let it grow again. So far I think I'll stick with the short hair though.

Parting picture: A new makeup bag for myself to toss all my goodies in. It's by a Japanese brand called Chocoholic. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think they're under the same company as Swimmers? Anyways, Chocoholic's products are more feminine I think.

☆☆☆Happy New Year! ! !☆☆☆

Can't believe that the last time I ever posted was last year. Ha Ha Ha! Just some cheesy humour from me! I hope everyone's holidays were great! I had a good time. I decided to just do a little post to reminisce the highlights of 2010 & goals for the 2011! I don't believe in resolutions because I feel like they are too easily breakable. I mean I can't remember the amount of times I've promised to work much harder in school & it always had fallen through! So, I'm going to make goals. REAL goals that I intend to keep & make come true.

Highlights of 2010:

There was really only 2 events this year that made me happy~~

Convocation: The conclusion to my four years. I was able to share it with my family & great friends. Truly the greatest moment of 2010.

Passing the CRNE: The moment I opened that letter from the CNO & found out I had passed the CRNE, I burst out crying !!! Even my mom thought I had failed. I was so overly ecstatic I couldn't help but cry happy tears. I seriously did not expect to pass. I don't know why...But it became proof to me that the four years was not a waste & that I had become a nurse.

Goals for 2011:

Exercise more often: I tell myself this all the time & fail to do so. New year, new start! I'm going to make it this time!!!
Take & Pass the ACLS: It's a step up from the BCLS. It's a tad bit expensive but worth it & hopefully it'll help me get a RN job...
Take a RN certificate program this fall: I was contemplating this for a while... I decided I needed to do this if I wanted to move ahead in life. Not sure what I want to take as of yet. But for sure I want to do this!
Save money: I am awful with saving money (-____-")
Read more: After I finished school I've hardly read. I use to complain that I didn't have time to read for fun because of time spent on reading textbooks. What's my excuse now?!
Write more in my journal & blog more often: I'm awful with both. So I wanna try to write daily in my personal journal & create more posts on this one.

I think I've got quite a bit of goals there that will take me the entire year to make! Probably will come up with more goals as time goes by. Nothing is ever certain in life so gotta be flexible!!! I hope 2011 treats everyone well & will be filled with love & luck for all! Once again, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Nail Goodies Haul & Mini Rimmel 'Lasting Finish Pro' Review

Here I am with the promised update. I'm going to post a haul of nail polishes & decos. But first I'm going to bore everyone with a bit of my current life talk~

Life has been fairly hectic & busy since I picked up a second job at the office. I work 6 days a week including my old part-time job but it's helping pay off my student loan so I can't complain. The work is repetitive & easy so I've grown use to sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours a day. My eyes are a tad bit tired & dry at the end of the day though~ Overall I'm quite happy despite being so busy (^___^)

I can' believe the holiday season is almost upon us! It's my absolute favourite time of the year. Besides the 'lovely' fact that I'm becoming a year older in just 2 more weeks, the holiday cheer that seems to be every where is something I love. Did anyone start their holiday shopping yet? I haven't... Honestly I think I wait til the last minute because I like the holiday rush...

I've been purchasing a lot of nail polish in the last month or so. I don't know why I suddenly got really into it and kept buying more & more.

I first picked up these Rimmel polishes in Stiletto Red for fun because I didn't have a single red in my polish collection. Upon first use I was quite astonished & impressed by it.

What was so impressive about this polish was the brush was thicker & flatter than most of the polishes that I've had. This allowed for much more controlled strokes & the large brush enabled more area to be covered with one stroke. For someone as clumsy as myself, this brush was a miracle because I hardly painted onto my own finger.

What disappointed me a little was that it took at least 2 coats to build the colour that it's suppose to look like. For example, with the Stiletto Red, with only 1 application, it looked like magenta. It was only after the second application that you could see the darkness of the red come through.Also, it says that it's 'chip resistant' but I found it started to chip the next day. However I feel like this problem would've been avoided if I had worn a proper top coat.

Overall, I would say I love Rimmel's 'Lasting Finish Pro' collection of polishes. The brushes make polish application easy and less messy. There's not many colours to choose from but the existing collection is quite attractive already.Plus, it's a great buy for just $4CAD a bottle.

I also grabbed some OPI & China Glaze polishes because they were on sale. Black polish is practically a necessity in any girls collection if they wear nail polish.

Besides purchasing the polishes, I was fortunate enough to come across these little gems.

I bought a box of tiny jewels & large pieces of glitter flecks to do some artsy projects. So far I haven't had any inspiration yet so I've been stowing these away in hopes something will hit me and then they'll be put into proper use.

How's everyone doing? It's been a while again. I haven't much to update about life. Same old job hunting and such. Don't want to bore you all with the minimal details (x___x)

I want to work on some hair tutorials & such but in between the reoccurring sickness, part-time job, skin flareups & such I haven't found the appropriate time. Hopefully I'll be able to do something this Thanksgiving long weekend. We haven't bought the groceries yet so tomorrow is the day to shop for us. Our family doesn't like turkey so we usually have chicken instead. We already got ourselves ham which we're going to honey roast. Just thinking about the dinner is making me hungry (^___^) What's your favourite Thanksgiving dish?

Oh~ And I'm anxiously waiting for my package to arrive from Jayne. I participated in "The Disposable Project" which is a lovely little project where Jayne sends out disposable cameras to different people to different places. Whomever receives these cameras have to take certain pictures to fulfill predetermined requirements ie. shooting something that makes you happy. It's genius really. Check it out here! I don't know if she's still receiving more applicants but nonetheless it's very interesting and would be something interesting to follow.

It's cute & so easy to do. I've been to lazy to fuss with my hair these days~ Plus it still works for my slightly longer than shoulder length hair! Anyone interested in seeing a tutorial of this? I'm not good with videos though & I'm impossibly shy (〃ﾟ∇ﾟ〃)

And can you tell I'm totally obsessed with this kdrama? I've been chasing it every single week like a horrible addiction.I can't help that Ha Ni's girly fantasies coincide with my own (/////∇/////)

I went to the shops today & noticed a Canadian based brand that I thought was pretty cute. The brand is called Uranium. It originated from Montreal, Canada and specializes in "Street Fashion" accessories & clothing. Their products are made entirely here in Canada & inexpensive.Which I'm absolutely delighted to hear because I love to support homegrown products. I have yet to see a store that sells clothing from this brand but I did notice their accessories at a shop today. I'm kind of partial to the clothing cause I don't feel it's entirely my style, but their accessories are very pretty. Click through for larger pictures & details:

MId-Autumn's Festival & OOTD

Happy Mid-Autumn's Festival! To all the lovelies out there who celebrate it!

Mid-autumn's festival isn't very festive here unless you go to heavily Asian populated malls and such. I imagine it would be different in Asia... Just like Chinese New Year. It just doesn't feel the same here than it would be elsewhere. But that's okay cause it's all about family & good friends and I have the most important people in my life right here so that's all the really matters.

Today's the first day of Autumn too! It was not too chilly today. Rather warm with a gently breeze. Which was nice seeing as the news saying that this winter is going to be the coldest & longest yet for us. I don't mind the cold as much as the horrible snow storms cause it makes it so difficult to travel in. Almost just wanna snuggle at home & hide.

Autumn/Winter Outerwear: Inspirations from Oct '10 Popteen & ViVi

I am back yet again! I has definitely been awhile. I've been slacking & suffering from major mind block that I was unable to blog. Seriously (x___x)

HELLO LOVELY NEW FRIENDS! I should really pick up my slack and deliver some interesting posts~~ I'm planning renovation of the layout of this blog. It's autumn & I'm tired of the layout. Today I just wanted to do a short post (mostly visual) about autumn & winter coats. I don't know about everyone but A/W is my favourite time of the year because I can wear & purchase lovely jackets & coats. Here's some inspiration for those out shopping for new outerwear:

My taste for outerwear usually gravitates towards elegant & feminine styles despite some of the outerwear not being warm enough for North American weather. I usually make up for this by layering of course~ Who doesn't want to look cute while keeping warm right? The ones I've posted are pretty classic outerwear. I just feel like those are easily transferable to the next A/W season. I think it's also because I am currently deeply addicted to watching Playful Kiss:

After I saw Ha Ni (Jung So Min) wear this vibrant hot pink military inspired coat with the fur collar I immediately felt like I needed something similar. On a totally unrelated note: Hyun Joong looks adorable in his coat also (* A *)

My "Feel Better OOTD"

First I'd like to say hello & welcome to the new friends. I really appreciate seeing more people follow this blog. Makes me day much better :) ThankQ & I hope to bring more interesting posts to you all~~!

I have something bad happen to me this weekend. It was really my fault & I don't blame it on anyone but myself. Long story short... What happened was that I got my ipod & wallet stolen at work （┬┬_┬┬） I'm pretty sure it's not anyone that works there because including myself there were only four of us & we were all pretty much busy all morning at the front of the store. The thing about the store is that the back doors are always left open. Sigh* I blame no one but myself for not being more careful with my own belongings. Luckily, I had very few IDs in that wallet so it wasn't too hard to get all the IDs back. What made me most sad was losing my ipod, birthday gift from my parents, and my coach wallet, which was a birthday gift from my best friend. But it's over now... So I spent the whole of today getting my IDs back...

So I woke up this morning thinking: "I need to feel better now!" So I put on one of my favourite outfit to go out for lunch & run my errands~ Here's my OOTD ~~

I don't know why but I feel happy in this bowler hat. I really like hats. It's a happy thing for me. When I'm happy I'll wear hats ヽ(^◇^*)/ ﾜｰｲ I also liked the way I waved my hair today. It was fuss free & didn't really require much maintenance at all. I just used my straightener to achieve this look ♥ Especially in this horrid humid weather why my curls always turn into thready waves (▼皿▼メ) I also center parted my bangs instead today. Usually it's just straight bangs down to my eyes or side swept but I decided this probably looked better with the bowler hat? My sister hates it but I think it looks fine~ Looks more mature & col I think (^___^)

Okay~~ So the plan for tomorrow is to wake up early & go have some Ikea breakfast with KP & sister; drive sister to university to get student ID; go to bank; pick up parents to yum cha; pick up Bobby from home then drive harbour to take boat to Centre Island & spend rest of day there~~ Just happy to go somewhere with Bobby that isn't around the neighbourhood or the park. HG Lipstick & Autumn Shoe Lust

Been a while since my last post again (T___T) I've been working & job hunting... It's been a bit difficult because there's very few jobs out there for new graduates right now & I'm really hoping that I can find a new grad position because it guarantees at least a year of full-time employment~~

So Friday I went downtown with the sister to do some shopping. We haven't shopped together for a while. I have to admit it's most fun shopping with my sister because she goes in to any store I want & has no bias so gives really good advice on whether I should buy certain things. I guess I'm lucky to have a sister that enjoys shopping as much as I do (^___^)

So I've been eyeballing Yves Saint Laurent's Faubourg Peach (#30) forever since I saw it in a look tutorial on a blog. But I hesitated because it was so expensive. I tried finding dupes of the colour at M.A.C. & Sephora but none of them were the colour that the YSL one was... So finally I caved and got it & do not regret this purchase at all. The packaging of the product is very pretty, especially the cutout of the YSL motif at the middle of the tube which shoes what the colour inside looks like. There's also a round mirror at the top of the cap that you can use to apply lipstick. Small but still functional~

Here's the lip colour in natural lighting. I think that the picture doesn't do the colour any justic because it's much more of a bright coral in real life. The colour appears too muted in the picture. It's a really gorgeous colour & I'm loving it so much I've been wearing it everyday. It's my HG lipstick right now~

The same day I also bought a pair of oxford shoes, which appear to be quite popular for preppy looks in the fall. I've always wanted a pair cause I thought they were really cute. Plus I've always loved the preppy look (^___^) I'm a big autumn/winter shoe fanatic... I'm not a big on buying shoes in the summer... I think it's because I'm not into wearing sandals or flip flops but I'm always willing to spend on A/W shoes. Can't wait to wear these (* A *)

I should hang my head in shame for the lack of posts ! ! ! Sorry guys... I've just been... lazy! Well these days I have another excuse. I swear this one is legit! If you follow me on twitter you probably already know this but...

I passed my CRNE exam & am officially a RN!

This has been the happiest news for me. All my hopes were placed on this! I was stalking the mailbox the week before last week because I heard that many people had already received their results in other provinces. So unexpectedly last Monday morning I woke up and first thing I did was grab my ipod and check my newsfeed on facebook. I saw many people were updating their statuses and saying they passed so without a thought I ran downstairs to the mailbox in my PJs and grabbed the mail and to my joy it was there. When I was opening the letter all I could do was shake. I finally opened it and saw that I had passed and all the could do was cry. Happy tears of course, but I scared my mom who thought I had failed because I was crying. Anyways... Now I can officially go job hunting without any hesitation on whether I will be able to keep the job if I didn't get my license. One less worry, but I've gained a worry of finding a job (x___x)

Finally! I have a FOTD to post!!! This is actually a old one but I like my make that day a lot~ Plus that's the only day I actually took more attention to my make since I was going somewhere interesting~~

I wore this FOTD 2 weeks ago when I went to a Boyce Avenue concert. They're this small band, composed of 3 brothers, that started off by playing lots of covers of popular songs on youtube. You've probably heard of them~? They play an amazing cover of Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls. They also have their own CD, which is amazing also. Overall the night was great... Good music and we even met the band afterward. Very nice guys! Once again I am certain that there is no sweeter music than live music.

Ah~ I actually should be talking about my make?! I went on a tangent and started talking about something else. Anyways... So very simple eyemake... I just really liked the colour of the lipstick. It's by Rimmel called Pink Blush. It looks fairly close to MAC's Viva Glam Gaga right? Probably, I only know from what I've seen since my friend has the Gaga one and I got this one way before that one came out. It's fairly bright in person. The consistency however I think is a little drying so I usually like to put on a base of lip balm to make sure my lips are well moisturized before I put lipstick on so you won't see chappy lips.

Completely piggy news though but a Beard Papa store FINALLY opened in Toronto! I love trying out foods so I had to flock there to have one. Plus I kept seeing the signature Beard Papa boxes in ulzzang pictures which made me even more curious of what they're eating. Shown here is a green tea cream puff. The puff pastry part was so crispy and airy tasting. The green team custard was not too sweet & not too bitter. A nice balance I would say. The custard was oozing out of the puff so much I lost most of it in the wrapping. It's nothing special of course but still a nice treat. Their website says that one cream puff is only 220 calories! I would say that's pretty good considering sometimes you have dessert and it ends up to be a 400+ calorie investment.

We were cleaning his room and he was grumpy that he had to be locked away in his crate. Usually he roam around our feets and smell our toes or play tug-o-war with the things we're holding so we decided to put him in there until we were done. So he got grumpy and started rolling around to express his frustrations. I thought he looked funny (^___^)

Ok... So I know I've been putting off doing posts lately. I've been planning to do a post about my usual spring/summer outfits for the longest time now & soon enough fall is going to come. I must do this SOON. Maybe by the end of the week because I have to do write so many cover letters and fix up my resume for the jobs that I'm going to apply to. Anyways, for sure you can expect a post of new lashes that I got today and a new product that I've tried and liked. Hopefully I will finish by tomorrow evening~~

Recent Purchases & LaNeige Reviews

I'm still here! ! !

But I've been so lazy to post!!! I'm so sorry (T___T) I've been either sleeping/gaming/rolling around on the floor watching tv... So unproductive I am... But soon enough I *hope* to not be. Apparently next week I'll be getting my results which will determine whether I get my license. Then I'll be off on a job hunt if I do~~! Hopefully hopefully... If it all turns out well I'm going to be the happiest person alive (^___^)

Anyways... remember in a few posts back I mentioned about making an order to wholesale-dress.net??? Okay, well the package arrived alright. Here's what I got...

Sigh* I emailed them about it & even showed them pictures of the MAJOR contradiction here. They said they're going to check on the availability of the items and email me back. Double sigh* I feel cheated (T___T)

Away with the unhappy things~~ Here's my recent purchases!

I had wanted a lace top for a while but could never find one I liked truly... I like this one but I was hoping to find one with an asymmetrical hem instead of this elasticized one. Ah well~~ It still goes with with a black/white tank top underneath... I'm going to find more ways to wear it :D

A denim star patterned sleeveless shirt with star buttons~! I liked it instantly cause it looked so 'fun'. Plus I like little details very much. Lace on something otherwise casual is always a nice touch :)

Floral peasant top. It just felt nice & comfy (^___^)

I should really actually wear these clothes to show how they look shouldn't I? They seem kinda plain & boring just sitting them on a hanger... on my dresser... Speaking of which, I haven't done a OOTD in a while...

Also, I went to LaNeige & purchased 3 products.

LaNeige for the unfamiliar is a famous Korean brand. Its name derives from the French word for 'snow'. The main concept of LaNeige is beauty products using 'snow crystals' & 'the hydrating science of water' to create healthy, glowing & optimal moisturization/hydration. What attracts me most about LaNeige are simple products with the majority focusing on moisturizing & hydrating the skin. I've been a fan of their skincare lines for a while now. Although I do try other brands from time to time, I do find myself going back to some of their products.

In particular, I love their Strawberry Yogurt Line.

The Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel. It claims that it uses cellulose & enzymes to remove dead skin cell build up from the surface of your skin. Cellulose is an organic compound that is the main component of the cell walls of plants. Cellulose in cosmetic products has effects of being an absorbent, bulking agent, opacifying & viscosity control. The enzyme ingredient is apparently contained in the red capsules (they look like strawberry seeds) which upon massaging will burst and selectively peel dead cells that are buried deep in the skin. It may be used 1-2 times a week & frequency can be adjusted to suit skin needs.

The procedure is simple. You simply squeeze out a 2cm amount of the gel and apply to your face. I dot the product in the primary areas like cheeks, forehead & chin. From there you gently massage the product evenly on all parts of your face (without getting it into your eyes & mouth of course). While massaging, you'll start seeing clumps of pink product on your skin like the picture on the right. I'm guessing those are the cellulose that has bind bind with your dead skin cells and turned into clumps of yucky stuff. After 1 minute of massaging, you rinse off with warm water.

The Strawberry Yogurt Pack. The pack contains strawberry extract which gives a clean & healthy appearance, yogurt makes the skin soft, mineral water & lactic acid bacteria for moisturization, and vitamin E for smoothness.

Although it's not the 2nd step to the peeling gel, I use it after it anyways. The directions tells you to use the pack after applying skin refiner but I like to use it after the peeling gel. The yogurt pack smells very nice. You simply apply a 3cm size amount, then gently massage on your face to dissolve the red particules (which contains the mineral water, vitamin E etc...). You leave it on your face for 5-10 minutes and then rinse off. It recommends that the product be kept in the refrigerator in the summer, I'm guessing because it's yogurt based. It feels nice when it's cold anyways :)

Final Verdict:

A good product to use if you don't have major skin problems. Ladies with acne issues should probably not use this because of the frequent massaging and the particles in the product to avoid causing irritation.

However, after using the gel, I do find that my skin becomes smoother and with the strawberry yogurt pack my skin is clearer and more supple. I would definitely recommend this to other ladies. It's effects are enhanced with weekly dedicated usage. Cause you know, Korean women are famous for their clear, beautiful skin because they are very religious about their skincare regimen (^___^)

Next product, which is my first time purchasing is the Natural Brow Liner Pencil in Khaki.

I have fairly dark brown hair and my eyebrows are almost black. Finding a brow colour that were natural enough for me has always been difficult. I've always admired Korean women's natural looking eyebrows though. So I decided to ask the sales associate at LaNeige for a colour that suited me. She recommended the khaki colour describing it as in between a brown and grey colour. She even plucked my eyebrows and drew in my brows for me! I was pretty much sold though because it was exactly what I had wanted.

One side of the pencil is a brush used to blend and 'push down' the hairs of the eyebrows. I wish it had a screw brush though. I find those tame unruly hairs & blend better. As you can see on the right picture, the colour is a grey brown.

The cool part about it is that each eyebrow pencil comes with it's own pencil sharpener and cleaning wand~!

Here's what my eyebrows look like with the pencil. Some hairs grew back fast because she used a razor instead of plucking it, but definitely much fuller & still natural looking with the eyebrow pencil.

Anyways, I'm going to an annual night market festival later. It's yearly and basically you go to eat junk food (^___^) It's usually really crowded and hot though... But fun cause you bump into people you haven't seen in years!

[EDIT 11:32PM] The night market is closed today! ANGER! So we went for food instead. Not the same :(

I really need to stop. Seriously. I just made a purchase on a wholesale site:

Black princess styled sleeves with detachable necklace. I love those kind of sleeves. Really couldn't deny this one.

I am so broke! I really need to start saving & stop spending it on clothes. The total of this order was under $30. The shipping itself was around $25. Well $55 for 6 items is not bad right? Either I must stop shopping! I should lock up my wallet... Actually lock me somewhere away from malls & computers for a while!!! I'll make a spring outfit post after this package arrives. Hahaha~~~

Anyways, I've been busy last week because my bestie came back from Hong Kong. She's only staying for a week however so I'm trying to spend as much time with her as I can! On Friday night we went and had dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Didn't like that meal. It use to be pretty decent but now it was just awful... But I did get to spend time with her catching up. I haven't seen her for half a year already. She's leaving on Saturday so I'll probably be spending the rest of this week with her also. She bought back a gift for me for my graduation:

It's a bracelet with a flower charm & plate engraved with my nickname. I really like it~ I'm wearing it all the time now (^___^)

It came in this cute wooden box with painted sakura blossoms, wooden sakura blossoms & 'forever' on the exterior of the box. Inside, flowers & the words 'congraduation 2010'. I wonder if the 'congraduation' was on purpose or a spelling error??? Still cute though~~!

Remember how I mentioned I was going to visit the 'Wish Come True Festival' downtown on Thursday? I did go but it ended up being pretty boring and not as amazing as I thought it was.... I hate it when I get disappointed by things I thought would've been so amazing (T___T)

Bobby's Birthday & Recent Purchases~

I realized I never posted pictures from Bobby's Birthday~

He looks like a grumpy old man here... But it's just his hair covering his eyes. Usually he's really wide eyed & energetic (O___O) I made a weird face here so I needed to cover it up~ Plus my hair looks like I just came in from a windy storm. But really Bobby is the certain of attention here in his red birthday hat & grey polka dot bow! Haha~~

His apple mousse cake that we specially ordered for him from a pet store. We never had any of it because we were told it was bland & it's all his because it's his special day~

It took him a few days to finish the cake. You could tell he really like it because every time he finished eating he'd go back to his bowl and smell at it for more. He'll just have to look forward to next year~~

Now onto to my purchases from last week~~

I wanted very badly to find a lovely coral colour for myself. I had my sights set on purchasing Yves Saint Laurent's #30 Farbourg Peach but then I detoured and decided maybe I could find a dupe at MAC. I came out with their Frosty Costa Chic lipstick which was nothing like Farbourg Peach but I liked how it was a almost flourescent peachy pink. Quite cute for summer I think... But I still want my Farbourg Peach!!! I've never been a lipstick wearer until recently. I've always stuck to sheer pink/peach lip glosses cause I was so afraid of colour!

I got Anna Sui's Face Accent in 600. A bright orangey powder~ I wanted a orange blush so badly after seeing it pop up on so many models in the magazines. It's a really lovely summer colour & really does make me feel more energetic just looking at it!

Here's me wearing it. Sorry for showing you my bad skin. I've been breaking out quite a bit recently. Just random breakouts here and there (T___T) I think the colour is quite muted. It's not very pigmented so you'll have to build on the colour if you want to have a bright pop of colour on your cheeks. I almost look like I have a healthy tan don't I? I don't like tanning though... I'm really religious with my sun care routine~~

I went to get some aromatherapy oils for fun. My sister got this metal warmer a while ago as a birthday gift but never used it. She's not really into these kind of things. So I decided I might as well make use of the oil warmer so I went to Bath and Body Works to buy some oils that were on sale. I really like citrus scents so I picked up the summer orchard & orange nectar because they smelled like ... Well summer! I don't really know how the other two oils smell like. Will have to try them much later because I'm enjoying the summer orchard & orange nectar too much. I think next time I'm going to go to Crabtree & Evelyn to purchase their Rose Water oil. I love their Rose Water collection so much. It's expensive but it's one of the best rose scents I've come across.

I think this week I might start cleaning the room down in the basement & move down there. The room is much bigger than the one I have right now... There's already furniture in there because we use it as a guestroom when relatives visit. I don't like the furniture colour (it's brown) but I like the large vanity though~~ It's also going to be dark there because there's only one small window (T___T) But I think it'll be a good choice to move down there~~

My Convocation~ June 10th, 2010

June 10th, 2010 marked the end of my grueling journey towards the BScN~~

After these 4 years of clinical placement, reflective analyses, personal & faculty appraisals... Literally blood, sweat & tears. I'm proud to say I made it!!!

The day was definitely unforgettable. The ceremony itself was lengthy but a good celebration for us. The reception was outside on the quad of our university. There was pastries, beverages & frozen desserts~ Nice area to mingle & take pictures. I swear all these years and I never noticed we had a wall of roses. I think maybe they put them there for the convocations? They also moved the book store outside with graduation items so they could take some more money from you before you leave ;D Well they managed to take my money on the frame to hold my degree~~

Here's a few pictures from yesterday. Warning though, I looked like I hated to be there. I think I was just really tired & didn't wanna show my braces so I managed these awkward smiles:

My outfit for the convocation~ I kinda made a quick decision with this one. I got the dress 2 days before. I had started looking earlier but I didn't find anything I liked at all. I really didn't want anything black but I ended up with no choices so I decided upon this black floral dress. I liked it also for the reason that it was simple enough to be worn as a summer dress~

A cup from my university that my sister got me. She wanted to get me the small stuffed toy of Eggy the ram, my university's mascot, but it was really expensive for something so small. A cup is good because it's practical.

My friend got me this lovely Tiffany's Notes key ring. It's too precious for me to use (* A *) Usually my things get wrecked whilst tumbling in my large bags. I already managed to smudge it with my dirty fingers as you can see in the second picture.

And something extremely irrelevant:

As I was going to pick up my gown with my friends they were giving out these little boxes along with a round headed figure with three colourful light bulbs on its head dancing around (Rainbow King apparently). Even though my bag was tiny and had no room for this toy, I had to take it because it was so colourful & cute! It's promotion for the Wish Come True Festival during Luminato. Luminato is a festival that celebrates arts in all forms. I've never been to any Luminato events but this one especially catches my eyes. It's happening between June 16-20th for FREE! Can't wait to go see~ I will take loads of pictures for sure (^___^)

Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek Review

Hello~~!

Today I'm going to my FIRST review of my recent purchase of Cosmagic' Sweet Deco Cheek in Strawberry Pink.

It was featured in Popteen May 2010 by Kumiko Funayama. Cuteee~

So the package comes with 3 blush colours: A silky light pink cream blush, a dark sparkly pink & a pale pink highlighter. It also comes with a small brush & pom pom wand to apply the blush. The stencil to create the heart on your cheeks is actually cut out from the packaging. I thought that was quite creative~
Also, inside the packaging, there are instructions on how to apply the blushes to achieve the desired effect and instructions on how to do cute hime cheeks & sexy koakuma cheeks~

Light cream pink, Dark Powder Pink & Pale Pink highlighter

The blush compact is shaped like a diamond. A bit chunky and heavy but cute packaging nonetheless, typical of a Japanese product (^___^)

The powdered cheek colours are quite sparkly & pigmented. A little bit really goes a long way~ I found the cream blush a bit hard to apply. I had to rub & apply a few times to see the colours on my cheeks. I also really liked the highlighter. I normally use my Benefit High Beam highlighter, but I like this one so much more. It spreads nicely & smoothly and is super sparkly~~ Sparkly is kinda my thing (* A *)

Here's what I looked like after applying the colours to my cheeks. You can't see it very well because my camera is not that great (T___T) But honestly, it is very vibrant in real life & I love it~ I followed the instructions and applied the cream blush on the center of my cheeks followed by using the natural haired brush to apply over the heart stencil to the boniest part of my cheek. I tried using the pom pom wand like Popteen had shown to apply the colour over the stencil, but it was difficult to get the colour onto the pom pom wand. I think maybe the pom pom wand is for a more airbrushed effect? I also didn't like how some of the fluffy bits kept falling off and landing on my eyelashes (T___T) I like using the brush applicator much more even though the pom pom wand is really cute (≧▽≦) The applicator is soft and distributed the colour evenly without losing any hairs~ Then I used the same applicator to apply the pale pink highlighter around the area where I had applied the heart, under my eyes and on my T-zone area to created a 3D effect.

Even after a day of going out and about the colours were still staying put on my cheeks & was as vibrant as the minute I had applied them on my cheeks. Very long lasting ~ The heart was also a cute touch (^___^)

Final Verdict:

The packaging is cute and girly, suitable for ladies who like lovely princess-esque products. The colours are very pigmented & long lasting so you won't have the need to do any touch ups. If you desire the highly accented cheeks like gyarus then the ultra pigmented colours will definitely give you the pop of colour. If you want more of a softer effect, the pom pom wand will give you a light touch of colour. The cheek colours are cute & girly, perfect for a sweet look~

The only dislike that I have for this product is the pom pom wand, it was difficult to get the colour on the pom pom & it kept losing it's fluffy bits on my face. Otherwise I loved the colours & how pigmented they were. I could never find the sweet dolly pink that I wanted but this one is love for me~~

Phew* Writing reviews are tough. I hope I did a good job (＞△＜)

Purchases of the Week & My "100 Followers Mini Giveaway"!

Another week is done and it's June already! So my exam went... I don't know how to feel about it. The majority of people that I talked to afterward felt the same. I think it was quite difficult... Too much reading for a 4-hour exam. Sigh* I'm not too positive about the results but I'm trying not to be too dragged down by it. After all I do have two more chances to take the exam & summer is here (^___^)

After the day of the exam, this week I had a mission to go find myself a convocation dress. I went to three malls and came out of them empty handed. I'm either too picky or not really in the mood after the exam. I can't decide which it is (U___U) I'm going to try one last time on Tuesday, going downtown this time because there's more store choices. If I still can't find one then I might just choose something from my own closet instead.

Instead, I ended up purchasing beauty products instead!

My favourite brand of masques is definitely My Beauty Diary. This week I went to the supermarket and found them on sale. They had 2 large themed boxsets. One was Japan & the other was Europe (I think?). The Europe themed boxset included their Bulgarian White Rose, Red Wine & Lavender masques plus an extra 2 platinum masques & a 5ml whitening essence. I picked up the Japan boxset because I don't have the masques in this boxset. This boxset includes their Sake, Natto & Cherry Blossom masques also including 2 platinum masques & a 5ml moisturizing essence. Have yet to try the masques but I'm excited to try the Natto face masque. I read it had high anti-aging & moisturizing properties~

Ever since I saw Kumiko endorse the Cosmagic Sweet Deco Cheek, I've wanted it. It looks so cute & I wondered what a heart on my cheek looked like~Hahaha~ I compared the Peach Pink & Strawberry Pink but I chose the strawberry because I was hoping to get Canmake's Cream Cheek in Vitamin Orange. Bright orange cheeks are so summery & happy~ Their Cherry Pink also looks pretty cute. I'm going to be doing a tutorial & review of the sweet deco cheek this weekend~ Please stay tuned for it!

Kind of a serious & boring post here. Just wanted to update & tell everyone I'm still here & I'll be updating regularly soon (^___^)

So tomorrow is the exam... The one I've anticipated since 4 years ago when I started my program. Tomorrow is the most important exam in my life and I'm so nervous and anxious! I've been dedicated to studying ever since I finished classes but there's a lot to understand and to remember so I'm lacking confidence right now because I feel like I haven't studied enough. I'll be in the exam room for 4 hours trying to figure out more than 200 multiple choice questions. Apparently they throw a few 'test' questions in there so it'll be more than the 200 questions, but they don't count yet you don't know which are the test questions. Hopefully I get the test questions wrong & the legitimate exam questions right! Plus the other scary part is that there is no average to aim for. The criteria of whether you pass or fail is based on whether you fall within the average of the province. So if the average of the examinees is 90%, you have to achieve 90% to pass! Puts a lot of pressure on a person doesn't it? It was reported that the average for last year was 59-69% last year. It kind of makes me feel a little better, but not good enough to induce any surge of confidence or optimism in me (T___T)

Time sure passes fast though. Can't believe when I finished classes it was mid-April & now it's already June 1st! We're half way through the year already! How soon will it be that Christmas is here again~ Haha~~

The weather is so nice this week!
Can't help but enjoy it too much & forget that I have my license exam in 1 week!!!

I've opened it already to check the products & I love the maxi dress a lot. It's so airy & light~~ But I'm a little bit too short for it. Think I'll need a pair of wedges or heels to hold my dress up off the floor! The beige skirt is also very cute! A bit darker than I had imagined but more interesting than just getting white or dark blue. I mixed out a few spring/summer outfits but didn't take any pictures. I really should be studying anyways (U___U)

My official graduation letter & convocation tickets also arrived in the mail this week! Now I feel like it's all more official.

Hello lovelies~!

Another week gone. Time sure is passing very very fast...May will be over soon meaning there's only a week and a bit more before my CRNE exam. It's a mix of emotions: Fear, anxiety, excitement, a little glad that it will be over soon, etcetera. Studying for nursing exams are tough because it's not jut all about facts & information. It's really about critical thinking... "All the answers are correct, but which is more correct?" kind of thing. A lot of it is situational case studies that focus on a variety of issues besides the physical assessments... I really hate those but no escaping this one （￣へ￣）

But I am looking forward to June! Hopefully the weather will be sunny every day with minimal rainy days(* ｰ *) Things to look forward to:

Can anyone tell I'm too in love with my denim shirt??? It brings all my outfits together so well~~ I was rummaging through my closet and sorting through the rejected clothes of my past when I found this white dress. Thought it was appropriate to be brought back to wear this spring/summer since white seems to be a trending colour. It's very light weight & flowy~ Glad I decided to keep it back then.

I made some other purchases this week both online & in stores:

Got this straw bag from Zara. I've been wanting one since last year. I feel like straw bags are the perfect material for spring & summer.

Also from Zara. Part of my latest obsession with florals...

I went to the mall today to pick up my magazine subscription of Popteen & did some shopping because my mom was looking at some clothes outside of my favourite shop. I really didn't intend to buy anymore because I had made a small online purchases plus I swore to myself that I would not shop until after the exam... But I did anyways (> д < ;) ... Atleast they were cheap buys~~ I always wanted a laced denim shirt. Couldn't find one for the longest time so I settled for the denim shirt at Gap. But when I saw this I had to have it. It's short sleeved & has lace so it has a different style than my Gap one.

At first I had no intention of looking at this dress. I picked it up & my sister said it looked nice so I went & tried it on. I ended up really liking the colour of this dress on me. The colour & floral pattern are really summery~~ I also really like the lace hem of the dress.

Of course picked up Popteen & while in the store the clerk influenced me into purchasing a Hello Kitty eco bag that could be folded into a much smaller size to be stored away in your purse↓↓↓

After you open the large eco bag, there is a chain where you can chain the smaller storage bag onto the bag itself. There was other patterns & colours to choose from but I like pink & Hello Kitty so it was a no brainer! I figured I could pop this in my bag & it may become useful. . .

I ordered the maxi dress & beige skirt from Dressky. They're a wholesale shop with lots of cheap clothes. Some of the clothes I think I've seen else where too... Like on Yesstyle. I've also seen some of the exact pieces of clothing they sell at local stores. But the local stores jack the prices up approximately 10-50 times more than what the clothes are worth. I've ordered from them before, very reliable. Clothes are cheap but shipping is still expensive because they're shipping from Asia. Their clothes range from $5-$25. Of course the quality is a debatable issue...From previous experience I'd say the quality is quite good & the received product was not too different from the displayed picture. Can't wait until these arrive~~!

Hello~~

Grey skies again today (○･｀Д´･○) Yesterday was so lovely... Sunshine with not a speck of clouds in the sky... Yet today the clouds are back!!! Where is my sunshine??? I hope everyone else is having better weather than I am experiencing!

I'm afraid there's nothing spectacular in this post. I suppose not many of my posts are spectacular anyways? Hope you enjoy anyawys~~ Lalala~~♪

Today's FOTD~ Since today was nothing special, just brunch with the family, I did my usual make routine with the exception of the usage of Canmake's No. 02 lashes↓↓↓

Very soft & extremely natural upper lashes. Comes with a tube of white lash glue but I chose to use my Koji clear lash glue instead. I find I'm getting much better at putting on lashes after many practices (●⌒∇⌒●)

And finally, today's OOTD~~ I've been eying Zara's one pieces forever. Their floral rompers & dresses are so cute but they are all SO EXPENSIVE. Finally, I caved because I thought I deserved a little luxury to celebrate my graduation. I love it so much! The material is so soft & comfortable and the floral pattern is so bright and eye catching (☆▽☆)Think I might live in this for the spring/summer?

My DIY うさ耳~!

Hello Hello Hello~~

I'm here writing to everyone at 3:40AM. Why don't I ever sleep like a normal person??? This will be short though (U___U)

I'm excited to post about my mini project to make my own うさ耳~~! If you read and/or follow Japanese fashion, you'll notice these little things popping up everywhere for Spring 2010!

I had a little inspiration & help from Violet Lebeaux's tutorial here~~ Although I did make some adjustments to the tutorial because I have a sewing machine, was lazy yet a perfectionist. It's hard to explain the adjustments I made without going on a whole spew of complicated and confusing explanations. However they are easy to make, inexpensive and definitely adds to an outfit (^___^)

Collingwood Day 2 + Recent Buys

Hello Hello~~

Today is a really gloomy day here... The weather was nice this morning but the rest of the afternoon up to now is all rain and grey skies. Kind of makes me want to just mope around and not do anything... Well instead I moped around with my CRNE prep guide. I guess it's been a productive day?

I wanted to go on a shopping trip tomorrow downtown but no one can accompany me. Everyone either has work/summer courses/busy. I feel super unproductive (T___T). I wish I could be more productive but job search is going no where right now. Very little places are hiring nurses. Especially new graduates. No one wants us (> O <) Anyways... Here's day 2 and the last morning we spent in Collingwood: The next morning, it was a lovely day again~ Gave a opportunity to take better pictures of the mountains. You can still see some snow left on them.

The hotel that we stayed in. It was called 'Seasons'.

We had breakfast at a place called Sunset Grill. They serve breakfast all day long. BIG breakfasts too.

Looks better than it tastes. I know plain yogurt is good for you...But... I'll just stick to my tasty flavoured ones.

Our last stop was a Starbucks run. We all needed it after staying up until 4am and waking up at 9am. Plus, I was the driver on the home bound journey...I can't fall asleep otherwise we'll be in trouble then ( Ｔ ▽ Ｔ )

I really miss it there. It was a nice getaway... I haven't been away since 2 summer ago when I went to New York with a few friends. I want to do more traveling this summer but I know I should focus more on studying for CRNE & job search.. (9･Д･)9 頑張ﾘﾏｯｽ! ! !

I haven't posted recent purchases & whatnot for a while~~ Well I haven't been shopping that much due to schedule overload~~ But I've been buying things here and there. Here's some of my more recent purchases within this week:

Picked up my subscription of ViVi~ Happy to see Lena on the cover~~ She's one of my favourite ViVi models alongside Chikako and Kiko.

Got a new lip balm with UV protection also. I have a particular obsession with lip products. It's a shimmery pearl colour, quite like it. Think I might pick up the other two shades, pink & orange too.

After many hours of standing at the stores, I decided to get Koji's eyelash glue in clear. I tried it this morning and it adheres VERY nicely. Even the wind won't be able to blow your lashes off! Plus the glue is clear so white glue spots to be seen~! However I do find that this glue is a little more fluid than the white ones I've tried. This glue also comes in black so that it blends in with the bone of the lashes...

Got a pack of 7 pairs of lashes for $10. The bone and lashes itself are both very soft and bendable so you can bend it as needed to your eye shape. Don't have a picture of me with the lashes as of yet, will post as soon as I can~!

Collingwood Day 1 (WARNING! Lots of Images!)

Hello lovelies~

I was back on Sunday evening from my trip. It was short lived but I had a really great time. Blue Mountain is such a beautiful area. I can imagine how much more beautiful it is in the winter time! I would definitely go back... Probably within this summer ;)

Here we are in the middle of our 2hr journey to Collingwood. We're actually probably very near it already because I could see the mountains in this picture. We were too busy talking for me to take pictures in the beginning~ It was actually raining on our way there but thank godness that it stopped before we went on the tour!

Our firs stop was the longest suspension bridge in Ontario. It had a nice view of the Collingwood area~

Tree top walk! It was really fun although some of the boards were creeking and some bridges were slanted. Required a lot of upper muscle strength to unhook and hook the safety hooks that kept us from falling. Overall extremely fun and safe :)

When I looked at the trees... I thought... "Twilight". Minus all the dead tree logs on the floor.

Little chipmunk! It was not afraid of people! It kept running around and looking at us eat our granola bars. Maybe it wanted one?

Our next stop was a into a "cavernous" area that supposedly formed from large rocks that eroded through the many years. It was extremely cold down there because there was some type of tree beneath the ground that naturally cool the area. You could also see a layer of fog down below. Also, snow and ice were in some areas of the ground!

Our last stop on the tour was zip lining down 1000 foot back to the log cabin where we parked. It was a controlled speed so you weren't flying down at incredible speeds. Had a very nice scenic view of the area~

After that we drove 6 minutes to the Blue Mountain resort area and checked in at our hotel. We were so tired and felt so dirty from hanging out in the woods.

After 2hours of getting ready (hey, we're girls~) we finally headed out for dinner at a Greek/Mediterranean restaurant called Tholos. We sat in outside because the weather was very nice and also they did not have any tables inside because they were having a party inside. Pity because it looked very nice inside and the interior was the reason why we wanted to go there. We read about it on the pamphlet that had a map of the restaurants and shops in the resort. It was nice until it got dark and windy! Our dinner lasted for 2 hours~

We saw the next table having these pans of flaming cheese so we looked in the menu to find it. It's called Saganaki. It's a type of cheese called kefalograviera that is pan fried and then flambéed right in front of your eyes. I was too busy admiring the flames to take a picture. However, if you're a cheese lover like me, you would've loved this appetizer. However it's a once a while treat because it was SO SALTY. Still good though!

The only different dish at our table. My friend's seafood linguine of black tiger shrimps, mussels, sea scallops and lobster tail in white wine rose sauce and covered in more cheese.

The rest of us ordered the same thing. We all wanted to eat portabello mushrooms. We ordered a vegetarian dish of portabello mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, baby spinach with caper roasted peper sauce and lima beans. There was a strong taste of balsamic vinegar.

After our satisfying yet long dinner, we walked around the resort. It was about 11pm. Although the stores were closed, (no dessert it meant T___T) there were still many people walking around the resort. Very lively place~ Almost made you wanna stay out there with them. There was a little lake and board walk that took you to the other side. We sat down on the other side at these big colourful chairs for a bit before heading back~~

We retreated back to our hotel to play board games, drink and eat junk foods until 4am. Here's me showing off my game piece because I won the game of therapy~~

Graduation Dress Inspirations

Hey everyone!

It's late right now... Like 1:11am in the morning. Like usual I don't feel tired or can sleep until I'm actually laying on the bed and playing some otome game... Anyways! So I've been researching graduation dress inspirations instead online. The last graduation I had was back in high school and I wore a tres serious grey plaid pleated skirt and matching dress shirt with sweater that I got at RW & Co. Looking back, I regret it because it was such a stuffy feel. Plus I had a horrible haircut from my mom...I ♥ my mom but that was the last time I ever let her cut my hair ever again.

I'm kinda hoping to find a dress that isn't 'usual'. I just don't want to wear a black/white/grey dress. They're lovely colours but I really want something special because this is really really special to me. Looking at some of my friend's graduation ceremonies they wore a lot of black. Which to me does not seem like it's a new beginning? I don't know maybe I just have a odd mind... Here's some dresses I like from Yesstyle.com↓↓↓

Tokyo Fashion ~ I really like the colour of this one... I generally find bright colours look good with my skin colour. Plus polka dots are so cute (≧∪≦）Maybe not so modest with the lower neckline?

Tokyo Fashion ~ This one seems very appropraite for the occasion. It's a mock two piece. I like the ruffles but I'm not loving the sleeves that much.

Marloca ~ The colour is so nice! I love lace too ♥

Vividress ~ This is more neutral colour but I really like the flow of the dress. I like how the top part of the dress is almost like a cape and sits nicely on the arms~

Click ~ I really like this dress! The colour is so nice, the floral pattern is gorgeous. Sigh* but this dress is really expensive. $63 CAD... I'm not sure I want to pay such a price.

So those are my picks~ I don't think anyone else will care what I wear because I'll be under a gown the majority of the time. But I'll know, which is enough (⌒▽⌒). Which one do you guys like? Any suggestions? For those of you who've had your graduation ceremonies, what did you wear?

Oh~ And I wanted to mention that I can't believe I've almost reached 100 followers. ThankQ for following me! I'm excited! I was thinking maybe I should do something to celebrate such an occasion? Maybe a giveaway? I definitely need a new layout though... We'll see ~~

Hello lovelies~

We're having very beautiful weather here in Toronto~ Almost sunshine every day of this week already! I hope everyone else is enjoying life no matter whatever weather they may have, where ever they are :)

A big update on my current life situation. I'm glad to say that my 4 years spent in the program has come to an official end with my convocation on June 10th! On Tuesday, I went in for my final evaluation, which simply meant I was getting the final judgment of whether I was going to get my degree. It was nerve wrecking when you know your entire 4 years rested on this particular day... I'm sure anyone who needs to be evaluated non-academically knows what I mean! You feel like you hardly have control over the final results because you can't study hard for it, just only can give your best work. Anyways, I'm just glad it's really over and now I'll be able to concentrate on my license exam preparations. It's in a little over a month

Here's a recent FOTD of mine. I've been doing this look for a couple of days now. I've had much more time on my hands in the morning so I've been experimenting with lashes↓↓↓

I lol'ed a bit at this picture. I'm so asian.

This FOTD is so simple & easy to put together. I used neutral colours on my eyes, a peach blush and a tinted pink lip gloss on my lips. Especially since I am in semi-vacation mode, I'd rather sleep or spend more time outside in the sun than spend too much time in front of the mirror. Instead of using full lashes, I opted for accent lashes because I'm too lazy and SO BAD at putting on full lashes. Accent lashes are easy for first time learners and you still get a nice effect without too much hassle. However, I still enjoy the dramatic effect that full lashes give me

I am back...again!

Hello lovelies~

I can't believe it's been another 2 months since I made a post. Sigh* Well, good news is that classes & clinical were officially over for me since last Friday. I'm just waiting on the 20th for my evaluation which will tell me whether or not I've completed my program. In between I'm also applying for jobs and worrying about my license exam in June. Well, I'm spreading out those activities over a 2 month span~ Otherwise life actually has been quite nice! Especially the weather! The highest it will be is 13°C with clear skies. Looks like another lovely day ♥

Thank you for those who contributed comments on my last post about my hair. Ever since then I actually have cut it shorter & I quite love it. It so much easier to take care of~ I don't think I'll grow my hair for quite a while. It was a nice change from my long hair :) Here's some pictures from yesterday ↓↓↓
My shorter cut has more of a spring feel right? I love it♥ Also super love my can can/boater hat that I found on a lovely random day downtown! It looks like it'll fall off my head but I swear the end of the hat touches my head just fine. I just have a naturally big head（┬┬○┬┬）

Does anyone remember my fat puppy Bobby? He's only gotten fatter since we've gotten him... Plus his poor hair grows so fast that now his eyes are covered. We're taking him to be groomed tomorrow~ He'll be 1-years-old in 3 months ~!

HELP~ I'm indecisive!

It's almost Chinese New Year~ I can't believe how fast one year just goes by. Gotta enjoy every moment life has to offer!

Anyways, I'm in much need of some advice today~ I'm planning to get my hair cut this week but I'm honestly confused of how I want it. I'm planning to go shorter and change up my bangs because my straight hair is so dull and I find my side swept bangs very hard to maintain. My friends are telling me they like my hair straight and long but I dislike it cause it's so boring. No shape. No style.

I think I finally finished my layout. Although it does act up and look funny sometimes but I'm going to try to not worry about it because the content is more important than the layout. And... My content has been content lacking quite a bit recently. . .

Since this is my first official post: Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a fantastic new year. I had a really good one~ Lots of food & champagne! Couldn't have too much champagne though because I was the designated driver of the night. I buy a lot of clothing from local shops in my area. They're inexpensive and usually fits my style more than chain retailers like Forever 21 or Zara because they are imported from Asia. Although sometimes I do find things I like if I actually look really hard! And since I work like 6 days a week and 1 day is spent at school, I hardly have time to shop or have the need to put together outfits! It's kind of sad. . . All my working days I spend in a scrub!

I think that's all from me for now. It's getting very late and I'm suppose to wake up in 4 hours to get to work on time. I'm hoping I will be able to wake up early enough to stop off at Starbucks to grab a drink before I step into the unit. I yawn too much in the morning!
